City on Fire: A Spotlight on OmniiThaBazedGawd

Updated: Mar 31

On this edition of City on Fire where I interview artists and gain insight into their lives and inspirations, I spoke to OmniiThaBazedGawd about his journey with music. He hails from Reno, Nevada, and has two sons. Follow Omnii on his Instagram @omniibazedgawd for musical updates and details about his work!

Omnii is a member of the All Eternals collective. I asked him what our community means to him. He said, “Acceptance. All Eternals represents acceptance and love of the being that you choose to present to the world. It’s a space filled with love for the brave souls who dare to defy the standards and norms of society as a whole.” This collective is a safe space for all artists, no matter their craft, to uplift and support one another. Omnii elaborated on that point: “We’re a collective that’s not just about music. We love and encourage art forms of all kinds that influence you to be freely yourself.”

When you listen to Omnii’s discography, you find a range of sounds and emotions in his music. From aggressiveness toward those who wronged him to yearning for a lost love, he can do it all and somehow still has a consistent sound in his projects. He stated that his creative process is about “going with the flow, straight up. I say that because I literally don’t force my music at all, it comes naturally from within as well as influenced from the outer world. The beats I choose speak to me, and at least half of a song is usually written within the first 5-10 minutes of listening to the beat on repeat.” Both he and the All Eternals collective produce an insane amount of music on a regular basis.

Omnii’s most streamed song on all platforms is “Don’t Call Me.” It has a smooth, melodic beat and the lyrics are infectious as he asks to be left alone to sort through his thoughts on his own. He has a talent for staying true to his sound but matching the vibe to songs he features on. “I really like to match energy with music, I feel like a good song is cohesive yet unique from artist to artist. I love to flex my versatility and play around.” Omnii recently released a single called “XXXTACY” featuring RONINCLOUD that is sonically inviting and reminiscent of a love we can all relate to.

From now until our debut show “Welcome 2 Sunnyside” on March 22nd, Omnii plans to release a ton of new music. “Until [the show] in March, I’m going to try my best to drop a new song once every week or two. Not only that, but I’m working on a music video for XXXTACY as well. You can expect consistency and more experimentation!” As far as the show is concerned, he says we’ll be in the dark as to what songs he’ll perform because they will be new releases, so we all have something to look forward to. “I want to bring nothing but high energy, good spirits, new aesthetics, and an unforgettable night for our fans in Seattle.”
